Top 10 Saving Tips for Fall
As the summer days go, leaves start to fall, together with the beach we have said goodbye to our wallets as well.
Going on vacations, long nights, and party all the time and so on made us tighten our belt as the fall comes. So we all need some tips how to make it alive and resist for the cold days of our pocket and get ready for the winter holidays season.
1. Make up your mind
First of all, you need to make up your mind that you will be saving for real this season.
Before every step we take in life, it is very important to be determined and have clear goals that you want to reach and for how long.
2. Spend more time at home
As the weather gets unsteady, it’s a good opportunity to spend more time at home. Like for example making your own coffee or tea, buy some biscuits at the supermarket and invite your friends, instead of going at the bar.
This applies to cooking too. You might start getting some cooking lessons online and why not, start having a homemade Sunday Brunch.
3. Cancel your gym membership.
I might be a gym addict, but when it comes to saving, there are alternative ways you can follow. Since the weather is still warm, you can go jogging or for a walk in nature.
Studies have shown that apart from the benefits of the body, jogging in nature has a positive effect on mental health, 50% higher than you might expect from the gym.
4. Start using a bicycle instead of a car.
For nearby directions better leave your car at home and take the bicycle. It does well to your health too.
This way you will become Eco-friendly to the mother nature and your pockets.
5. Stay away from shopping center.
If you don’t want to take the risk of emptying your credit card, avoid shopping centers because we all know that as we get in, we’ll get out with the most unnecessary things possible.
6. No online shopping
Shopping online sometimes is more addictive than anything else since you can access it anytime, everywhere. Unsubscribe from online shopping sites and delete those apps, so you won’t be tempted to buy things that you don’t really need.
7. Make a list of your expenses
Plan your expenses at the beginning of the month and try to spend according to the plan.
If you follow it step by step, at the end of the month, you will end up saving as much as you planned.
8. Keep a track of your expenses
An important thing is to track your expenses since it will help you to check where are you spending the most and which cost can you cut off.
You can download some app in your phone and put every single penny spend in there.
9. Control you electric appliances
In order to cut off your energy bill, during daylight hours open the windows to brighten and warm up your home. Also turn off the lights and the TV when you don’t use them.
10. Don’t give up!
If not today, you can always start tomorrow to save.
